Mieke&Noud are still biking hard to meet group D on the way….

A nice day to cycle from Germersheim (good simple hotel Germersheimerhof) to Heppenheim on the foot of the hills. Facing now and then strong winds of front but the sun was a good compensation. Not easy to fold a map in a windy environment. We met at the hotel and crossed several times on our way Ken and Shauna from Ireland, heading to the Dutch border on a tandembike and also Martin from Offenburg heading to the baltic sea in northern Poland on a 3 wheel “ligfiets”. He had a special technic to scear off the dogs running after his special bike by using a “plant moistering device”.
Both were very interested in our project and we shared the link of the blog with them. We passed fields of beginning corn and wheat and strawberry fields forever. Lunch was well deserved after 50 km and we took 4 delicious strawberries as dessert from the field in front of us. With a nice finishing part at the foot of the hils we reached Heppenheim an der Bergstrasse. A nice typical German town , maybe we will explore it after dinner.
